Superfood – effective raw materials from natural sources

Any observant supermarket shopper can quickly recognise that superfoods are one of today’s biggest trends. For most purchasers, the most popular superfoods such as chia seeds, açaí berries, quinoa and aloe vera immediately come to mind. However, the fact often overlooked is that certain domestic superfoods can already be found in our regular daily menu. These include nettles, kale and blueberries, for example.

Superfoods are particularly noteworthy for their high percentage of diverse ingredients and secondary plant materials such as vitamins, minerals, fibre or antioxidants. Due to their high nutrient density, they are considered a particularly health-promoting source. Thanks to their high antioxidant content, it is said that superfoods can stimulate the body’s own detoxification and elimination processes while supporting the reduction of oxidative stress. Combined with an active lifestyle that integrates plenty of exercise and healthy sleep, superfoods are the ideal accompaniment to help maintain health at an excellent level.

Worlée NaturProdukte’s broad range of products covers not just exotic but also domestic superfoods. Our products are available in dried form as a powder, whole or in a wide variety of cut sizes. Furthermore, aloe vera is offered as a concentrate and as an extract.

Recipe Idea “Green Wonder“

Spirulina is often described as superfood, sometimes also as a green protein bomb: The algae is at home in the tropical waters of Central America, Southeast Asia, Africa and Australia and is mostly offered in pressed tablet form or as powder in this country. It is rich in calcium, iron and magnesium and provides all the amino acids important for humans. Studies have also shown that spirulina can help with allergic rhinitis. Thanks to its ability to bind heavy metals, spirulina preparations are also used to detoxify the body.

Ingredients for 500 ml Green Wonder“:

1 teaspoon spirulina powder (available e.g. in pharmacies and health food shops)
1 mango (or 300g finished mango puree)
150 g yoghurt 3.5%
150 ml fruit juice (apple juice, mango,...)
200 ml whole milk/soy milk
2-3 tablespoons Agave syrup
1 vanilla bean
1 dash of lemon juice
