Colourful, more colourful, Hotelex

Vivid colours, foamy infusions and whole fruits: Where traditional tea drinkers just shake their head, for other people the tea experience has only just begun. Worlée was an exhibitor at this year’s Hotelex in Shanghai – so here is a brief review of the current trends.

The big sellers at Worlées stand had names just like Mango Dream, Forrest Berries or Think Pink. Fruity tea blends that are used as basis for new and special tea creation in the Asian area. “The gastronomy branch tries to figure out how to include tea products in its portfolio in the best possible way. There are a lot of unusual and exciting ideas”, says Malte Bergeest, product manager at Worlée.

The current trends are beverages similar to Caffé Latte products. A real tea infusion serves as the basis – furthermore it’s enriched with sirup and milk foam. What sounds like a nightmare coming true to traditional green tea drinkers, receives a very positive echo from the younger target group. And it’s a feast for the eyes – even whole fruits are used. From strawberry to citrus to orange: there are no limits to creativity.

Another trend is functional tea, which is already well known in the European market. From D-Tox to Energie to Vitamin – Worlée offers a wide range of different products. So the family company from Hamburg stood out of the crowd even if the Hotelex had more than 2000 exhibitors. Our team is exited about which trend from China will come to Germany
