Worlée re-certified SMETA

Since 2009 Worlée has belonged to Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), an organization of companies that have committed themselves to the improvement of ethical business conduct. Here, by means of a web-based database, members disclose information about their onsite working practices. In this way, we offer the greatest possible level of transparency. Naturally, we expect the same from our suppliers in turn.

This year the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) took place for the second time at Worlée and certified the “Letter of Conformity” (LoC) to the family company for its business location in Hamburg. The Letter shows which requirements Sedex members need to meet in the fields of e.g. work safety, environmental protection and the ETI-Base Codes. The independent certification-company SGS was in charge of the audit and therefore spend a few days at Worlée.
