Chemical Raw Materials - 06.12.2017

Worlée-Seminar 2017 „Construction Chemicals“

“REACH“ will be the dominant topic of 2018 in the field of construction chemicals. Everything revolves around one question: which raw materials combine both functionality and future viability? Worlée’s seminars on 27 and 28 November in Rauenberg and Hannover, respectively, focused first on specifying REACH’s consequences for product development and solution options in the area of epoxy resin hardeners and secondly on clarifying which possibilities may be opened up through the use of “smart” raw materials. The six lectures received an enthusiastic response from the more than 40 seminar participants.

This year’s seminars included the following topics:

Product development despite REACH? – Consequences on the Productdevelopment in the area of epoxy resins because of REACH regulations.
Klaus Reinhold, Coordinator Construction Chemicals, Worlée-Chemie GmbH

Appreciation of established systems – but how? Networking with polythiols – a fresh breeze for established systems in the area of construction chemicals.
Dr. Tom F. Beyersdorff, Technical Marketing Manager, BRUNO BOCK Chemische Fabrik GmbH & Co. KG

Regulations – Booster for product development! Dispersion development for the painting and chemical constructions industry under the influence of regulations.
Gerhard Niggemann, Technical Service Manager, Construction, SBU Functional Solutions, Synthomer Deutschland GmbH and Leon aan de Meulen, Senior Regulatory Specialist, Synthomer B. V.

Polyisocyanate – innovative and smart! Polyisocyanate hardeners for environmentalfriendly two-component polyurethanes and polyurea coatings for applications in chemical constructions industry.
Marc Cornick, Market Development Manager, Vencorex France

Carbon black: Small cause – big effect! Smart solutions for chemical constructions.
Koen Burger, Technical Service Manager Coatings and Niches Europe, Cabot Corporation

Details make all the difference! Worlée additives in the area of chemical construction – small batches with high impact.
Uwe Seemann, Technical Sales Manager Additive TMA, Worlée-Chemie GmbH

The lectures were designed to be very interesting, which resulted in numerous follow-up questions and discussions. Together with its partners Bruno Bock, Cabot, Synthomer and Venvorex, Worlée can again look back at a successful event. This year, the northern German mid-sized company also streamed the lectures for the first time ever. For those who could not attend or for those who would like to know which topics were covered by the speakers, clips may be viewed afterwards here. (Only available in German)

We would like to express our thanks to all participants and look forward to the next Worlée seminar in 2018!
