Worlée at BIOFACH 2019

The medium-sized company from Hamburg will present its diverse range of dried organic raw materials at BIOFACH in Nuremberg once again this year.

From spices to dried fruits to superfoods in organic quality, the selection of organic products available on the shelves of supermarkets or even discount supermarkets is highly diverse. This development has come about in part due to the constant growth of demand by end consumers who want to purchase their food products in organic and sustainable quality. In step with this trend, Worlée currently offers its customers more than 450 organic raw materials. To get acquainted with Worlée’s organic product range or to ask questions about these raw materials, visit the company at BIOFACH 2019 at Stand 9-327.

At this year’s BIOFACH, the world’s leading exhibition for the organic industry, Worlée is presenting a variety of different raw materials and new trends in the area of research and development. As “superfoods” are a continuing and consistent customer focus, they will be featured as a highlight at this exhibition. Thanks to their nutrient compositions, coconut, turmeric and cinnamon are very popular with customers as superfoods and have been a part of Worlée’s organic product portfolio for years. As these products contain numerous individual proteins while featuring high protein and fibre percentages, they provide nutritional supplementation that is both informed and delicious.

With options ranging from roasted coconut chips to coconut milk powder to gluten- and lactose-free reduced-fat grated coconut, Worlée offers dried coconut in a variety of forms. Due to its natural sweetness, coconut is a good alternative to household sugar, and its unique, exotic taste makes it an excellent choice for use in, e.g., muesli, baked goods, cocktails, ice cream or in Asian dishes.

Along with its use as a spice, turmeric has been recognized over time as a medicinal herb. The so-called “yellow ginger” contains active ingredients and essential oils that can promote healing effects. Worlée offers turmeric in a variety of cut sizes as well as in powder and granule form. Currently, the most popular “application areas” for this all-rounder are in spices or in drinks.

Cinnamon is a spice known around the world. Its scent has a stimulating effect and its taste features a characteristic sweet flavour. The warming effect of cinnamon can stimulate the burning of fat and likewise have a positive effect on the metabolism. Furthermore, cinnamon provides important nutrients such as magnesium or iron. Worlée obtains its cinnamon from diverse countries of origin, resulting in a range of available appearances and tastes. The intense flavour of Worlée’s cinnamon imbues curries or chai beverages with a very special character.

Social aspects and environmental topics are also important focal points for Worlée. Thus, the company works together with partners in countries of origin in order to provide customers with optimal bioavailability. The family company continues to bring more and more Fairtrade products into its portfolio and possesses further certifications that attest to its environmentally-conscious and sustainable business practices.

At BIOFACH, visitors can discover interesting information about Worlée’s service offerings. These include not just the implementation of individual customer wishes, but also workshops, tastings, training courses or the development of small and large samples in the Technical Centre. Our experienced team develops new formulations and optimises existing products using its expertise and professional equipment -- always working in close consultation with customers. Small application examples can be sampled directly at the stand, where colleagues from the Technical Centre will also be available for consultation regarding Worlée’s range of services.

“For us, BIOFACH is one of the highlights of the year, for this is where long-standing customers and producers from around the world come together. Furthermore, it is always a pleasure to see business partners once again and to discover new trends in the organic sector”, states Peter Schmid, Managing Director of Worlée NaturProdukte.
