Chemical Raw Materials - 15.03.2019

Worlée's product innovations at the European Coatings Show 2019

The family-owned company from northern Germany will present its raw material innovations for paints, lacquers and a wide range of coating applications and also publish its second Sustainability Report.

Executives and experts from the international coating industry - among them Worlée-Chemie - will convene at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from 19 to 21 March 2019.
It is the 15th time at the world's leading trade exhibition for the paint and lacquer industry for the family-owned business, which will showcase its latest product developments at booth 9-352.

Worlée offers a comprehensive range of chemical raw materials from binding agents to additives and pigments that are produced in a highly eco-friendly environment with the latest production equipment and impress with their suitability for a wide range of applications. Visitors will find the company´s new products as well as product groups that were recently expanded, such as WorléeDisperse or WorléeThix.

WorléePurSi - silane functional polyurethane for a wide range of applications
Worlée has developed a brand new product group for lacquering applications: silane functional polyurethane, which is produced on a base of different polyols and offers extraordinary characteristics. In addition to having a long processing time and rapid drying process, these products have the advantage of extraordinary durability due to the pre-orientation of the polymers in the film and the subsequent rapid chemical silane crosslinking.

WorléeProtect  - a functional hybrid binding agent
WorléeProtect combines the beneficial characteristics of inorganic substances with those of organic substances. Surfaces coated with a layer of just a few micrometers have excellent scratch-resistance, a low propensity to soiling, high resistance to chemicals and are easy to clean (anti-graffiti effect). The high-gloss transparent films are also resistant against yellowing and chalking.

WorléeP.U.M.A. - curing resins
WorléeP.U.M.A. resins are 3D-crosslinkable, urethane-modified methacrylate polymers with reactive side chains in reactive thinners and/or monomers. In the area of composites, these resins impress with their high durability and low shrinkage and also offer a high-quality alternative to unsaturated polyester resins as they are styrene-free and significantly more light-resistant. These and other specific characteristics make them an attractive solution for coatings that can be cured with free radicals. They can also be used in many radiation-cured coating applications from long-life furniture lacquer to 2K UV-LED filler and 3D printing.

Another highlight is the second Sustainability Report presented by Worlée. Under the topic “Worlée - protecting today, for the benefit of tomorrow”, the family-owned company reports on its sustainability strategy and related initiatives at its business locations in Hamburg, Lauenburg and Lübeck. The report covers the years 2016 to 2018. The aims of the sustainability report are once again to communicate Worlée's developments and activities in this field in a transparent manner. Worlée has compiled this report to present a holistic picture of its corporate performance on the basis of economic, environmental and social aspects and intends to express that the that the consideration of sustainability aspects along its value generation chain is a top priority for the company. Visitors of the trade exhibition can obtain a copy of the Sustainability Report as well as other brochures, flyers and data sheets from booth 9-352, or by completing the online form available here.
