Worlée-Chemie receives once again the EcoVadis Platinum Medal

In the annual assessments, 21 sustainability criteria in the areas of "environment", "labor and human rights", "ethics" and "sustainable procurement" are evaluated by qualified CSR experts after extensive and detailed information on internal company guidelines, measures, actions and key figures have been verifiably demonstrated.

With the overall score of 82 points and the Platinum certificate, Worlée-Chemie continues to be among the TOP 1% of the now more than 100,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis worldwide.

 

Here are the most important details of the new Score Card at a glance:

90 points in the "Environment" subarea.
Whereas in 2021 Worlée-Chemie was awarded 36 special "strengths", it now has 67! And - for the second time - the EcoVadis experts were unable to name any suggestions for improvement!

80 points in the "Labor and human rights" subarea
Here there was an increase to 47 certified "strengths", in 2021 there were 30. Only one potential for improvement was mentioned.

70 points in the "Ethics" subarea,
now with 20 "strengths" - compared with 11 in the previous year - and 5 potential areas for improvement.

80 points in the sub-area "Sustainable procurement"
An improvement of 10 points was achieved here, compared with the previous year, with 14 "strengths" were listed - compared to 10 in 2021 - as well as 4 potential areas for improvement.

Barbara Eschke, responsible for conducting the assessments, is very pleased with the further positive development. „Without our great team such a result could not be achieved. The result reflects the committed performance in terms of sustainable development in the most diverse areas of the company. How nice that in all sub-areas even more special strengths than before are listed in the Score Card! We will, of course, use the listed opportunities for improvement to continuously develop ourselves further.

We are also particularly pleased with the 10-point improvement in the "Sustainable procurement" subarea.

In line with our corporate philosophy, it is important for us to fulfill our human rights due diligence obligations. And of course it is also good to comply with the requirements of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and the expected EU Directive, even if we are far below the employee thresholds applicable in German law and will therefore not be directly affected by it."
