Use the power of nature

Echinacea (also known as coneflower) is extracted from the herb and the root of the medicinal plant. There are three types of Echinacea, which are used as ingredients in herbal remedies:

  • Echinacea purpurea is extracted from the herb of the medicinal plant
  • Echinacea pallida and Echinacea angustifolia are extracted from the root

The medicinal plant is said to have immunostimulant properties that may alleviate, prevent or reduce the symptoms of colds. Echinacea can be used, for example, in the occurrence of respiratory diseases or other flu-like infections to exert a positive effect on the immune system.

Elderberries also have immune-boosting properties. The berries are rich in vitamin C & B and contain essential oils and valuable minerals. Furthermore, Elderberries are full of anthocyanins. These secondary plant compounds have an antioxidant effect, protecting the body’s cells from free radicals. In addition, elderberries can have an expectorant effect and free the bronchi and sinuses from stuck mucus.

Vitamin C can strengthen the body’s natural defences and reduce signs of fatigue. Due to its antioxidant effect, free radicals are intercepted. Moreover, vitamin C can support the absorption of iron during digestion. Natural raw materials with a high vitamin C content include, amongst others, citrus fruits, hibiscus, sea buckthorn and rose hip.

Last but not least – what do ginger, mint, lime blossom, fennel, sage, nettle and turmeric have in common? They are said to have an anti-inflammatory effect. The application of these raw materials if manifold – whether in teas, during cooking or even as a tincture. They can enrich your recipes in various fields of applications.
