Gold goes to Worlée-Chemie

Worlée-Chemie again scores "Gold" and "Advanced" in the EcoVadis assessment.

This year, Worlée-Chemie again was able to prove itself in terms of sustainability with the EcoVadis evaluation platform. And even better than 2018: In this year's assessment, the North German family-owned company has improved by four points compared to the previous year to a very good EcoVadis score of 81 points. Particularly noteworthy is the performance in the "Environment" subarea, where 90 points were achieved and thus the "outstanding" level. With this excellent result, Worlée-Chemie again achieves the status of "Gold" and "Advanced "*. This makes the company one of the 1 per cent with the best EcoVadis scores worldwide.

The increase in points is mainly due to...

  • the improved reporting by the sustainability report in accordance with GRI standards,
  • the extended corporate guidelines (such as the tightened code of conduct for suppliers),
  • a large number of special "strengths" in the area of environment, labour and human rights, where the company improved from 70 to 90 and from 70 to 80 points respectively

Sustainability means a lot to Worlée-Chemie. The company will continue to be involved in sustainable projects in order to demonstrate its responsibility and commitment.

* EcoVadis is the first collaborative platform to establish CSR ratings of suppliers for global supply chains. The methodology is based on international CSR standards such as the UN Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative and ISO 26000.
**"Advanced" means that a structured, proactive corporate social responsibility approach is in place and that the commitment, guidelines and concrete measures on important issues have been given with detailed information on their implementation.
