Worlée at IdeenExpo 2015
351.000 visitors, about 230 exhibitors – and Worlée-Chemie right in the middle of it. From 4. to 12. July the IdeenExpo 2015, Europes biggest youth event for natural sciences and technics, took place in Hanover (Germany).
At the joint booth of the VCI, trainees from Worlée showed the fair visitors how coatings are produced from natural raw materials such as sunflowers . Who wanted to try out mixing an own coating also got the chance for this: binders, additives, pigments and some water – that’s all the fair visitors needed to mix their fast drying coating directly at the booth. Thanks to different pigment pastes, they could choose between an almost endlessness number of colours.
After the mixing was done, the young people painted a keychain with their coating, which had to be dried for almost 30 minutes in an oven at 180 degree. A nice souvenir, which probably gave the young researchers some depper insights into the world of chemical raw material.
