Worlée further expands its distribution business in Italy

Following Synthomer acquisition of Hexion Inc., the chemical distribution of former Hexion products has been newly organised. The family company Worlée’s expertise and experience in the chemicals business and in the Italian raw materials market made it the clear choice for the exclusive distribution of the Axilat product range (RDPs and additives) in Italy. Worlée has already worked together with Synthomer as a business partner for many years, and it is active in several countries as a distribution partner. 

Worlée has actively dealt in binders and additives for decades within the Italian raw materials market for paints and coatings. With the redispersible powders, powder defoamers and accelerators of the brand Axilat, the medium-sized company is now expanding its portfolio into the field of construction chemicals and, in this case, into the category of mortar modification. The products can be used for applications in the area of, e.g., (cement-based) tile adhesives and cement levelling compounds, for plaster-based applications or for thermal insulation systems. 

The acquisition of the distribution of Axilat is of great significance for the medium-sized north German company: ‘We are pleased to be able to supply the Italian market with functional and high-quality Synthomer products.
