In many languages,  ashwaganda is also referred to as the “sleep berry”. Its  name translates literally to “scent of the horse” - consequently, tradition maintains that the Indian ginseng works to release the strength and power of a horse in humans. WHO considers the root to be a tonic for use in improving performance and increasing overall well-being.
This powerful root can be used in tea, smoothies, bars, sweets, protein shakes and numerous dietary supplements that aim to increase vitality and energy levels, not to mention in applications for animal feed products. Originally, ashwagandha was used for tea-related products and brewed in a variety of latte blends with plant-based milk substitutes such as rice or soy drinks; this form is similar to that of the well-known and popular “turmeric latte”.

Worlée’s trendspotting has detected a development trend here in the last three years that indicates enormous growth. In particular, ashwagandha is being used more and more often in the area of superfood products such as tea, drinks, sweets and in the dietary supplement field. New applications for this miracle root appear nearly every month.

As Worlée has included Indian ginseng in its product range for many years, the medium-sized company has established long-standing partnerships in countries of origin, which guarantees a superb level of quality. Naturally, gentle bacterial sterilisation in Hamburg is also an option. At Worlée, ashwagandha is available in a variety of forms:
